The Richest Billionaire Entrepreneurs Who Left Our World in 2022 

Most of them died at the age of more than eighty years, while two of them died in the fall of their own helicopters. 

The last two years have seen major events involving everyone, both personal and public.  This year, which witnessed the absence of a group of senior businessmen around the world, and their movement from palaces to dust, leaving behind them huge billions of wealth, which became in the hands of their heirs or the institutions that they established in their lifetime. 

During the years 2021 and 2022, 27 billionaires died out of the approximately 2,800 billionaires living among us, each of whom has a fortune exceeding at least one billion dollars. 

Most of the billionaires who died in the year 2021-2022 passed away at the age of more than eighty, while two of them died in a plane accident, the French billionaire Olivier Dassault and the Czech billionaire Peter Kellner, while riding their private planes. 

As for the youngest billionaire who died during the year 2021-2022, he was the Chinese billionaire Hui Zhou, the founder of a huge real estate company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, and he died at the age of fifty due to an illness that quickly worsened.

Sheldon Adelson 

Sheldon Addison is the famous American businessman who owns the Las Vegas Sands empire, which includes dozens of high-end casinos and resorts. Sheldon Addison ranked No. 19 in the list of the world's richest people, with a fortune of $35 billion. 

Sheldon Edison died in January of last year 2021, at the age of 87, and two months after his death, the company sold its assets in a group of tourism products for $ 6.25 billion, with the aim of focusing and expanding to enter the Asian market. 

It is worth noting that Sheldon Addison was taking advantage of his wealth to support the Republicans significantly, as he paid more than $ 500 million to support the party's campaigns during the elections. 

Sir David Barclay 

Sir David Barclay died in January 2021 at the age of 86, and is one of Britain's richest businessmen. 

Disputes between Sir David and his twin began shortly before the death of Sir, as the latter filed a lawsuit against his twin accusing him of recording his personal call by wiretapping the Ritz Hotel calls, but as soon as Sir David passed away, his brother settled the lawsuit announcing that he and his late brother  Partners in life with its sweet and bitter events, and that he will always be the closest to him, no matter what differences occur between them. 

Sir David Barclay's fortune at his death was estimated at $3.7 billion, and he was considered one of Britain's richest businessmen. 

Olivier Dassault 

He is the French businessman who owns the famous Dassault Aviation Group, which was making warplanes during the First World War, as the company was owned by Olivier Dassault's grandfather. 

Olivier Dassault died in March 2021 at the age of 69. Ironically, he died in a plane accident, as he was vacationing in his private home in northern France, and upon his return with his private plane the accident occurred, and Olivier Dassault's fortune upon death is estimated at about $4.7 billion. 

Majid Al Futtaim 

Majid Al Futtaim, a well-known Emirati businessman, is one of the richest Arabs and one of the most famous businessmen. Majid Al Futtaim established a huge empire that includes a huge number of shopping malls, hotels and supermarkets around the world. 


Majid Al Futtaim began building his empire in 1992, when he created the retail giant Majid Al Futtaim Holding Company, which has 29 shopping malls, 13 hotels and more than 350 supermarkets in 30 countries. 


Majid Al Futtaim's fortune upon death is estimated at $4.3 billion, according to the American magazine C.E.O.
